Ariat Men's Distressed Brown Terrain Lace Up Hiking Boots

I used to like Ariat boots until I made the mistake of buying these. $100 down the drain in less than a month. The glue job on the soles is terrible

I bought these for my husband. They were instantly a hit! Very comfortable and warm. There was no "breaking in" time at all. Fit was true to size. I have recommended Ariat to friends and customers. I work at a farm and ranch store that carries the Ariat brand boots.

Great shoe, comfortable for ground work, works well with half chaps. Happy that the Ariat logo is not the size of a barn. I wanted to get a brown paddock boot but Ariat does not offer one in men's sizes. It would be a great addition to offer one.

I've had my boots 3 months. I can say they are very comfortable. However, the sole is separating from the upper. Kinda expensive to have to replace them every 3 months. I'm disappointed in the quality. I haven't even worn the tread yet

The wide size is perfect for my boyfriend and I. Waterproof. Extremely comfortable, more comfortable than my Brooks, no break in time needed.

This is my third pair of Terrain riding shoes. They fit perfect and are on of the few choices available in EE width used my previous pair for many years of good service. We like them because they are at home on and off the horses and they are a shoe I can be comfortable in all day long. When we travel its nice to have dual purpose shoes to help minimize luggage space.

Top quality product at a value. I wear everyday for a work show. Comfortable and supportive.

First of all you have the best fit out of the box for a double e wide shoe. Very difficult to find. Quality of materials looks great and seems to be a shoe that I will be wearing for long time.

Boots are so comfortable but toe area came apart from leather after about 5 months.

Great quality and looks. I like the lighter Sunshine color. Very comfortable with my prescription orthotics in. This is about the 4th or 5th pair I’ve had over the years. It’s been about 4 yrs since I’ve had a pair; so glad I went back to the Terrain.

My husband is a professional horse trainer. He's always worn Ariats (our whole family does) and switched to the Terrain after a knee surgery when his other favorite Ariats hurt his knee. This is at least his 5th pair of Terrains. They always last at least a year under his normal use and care (leather conditioner, etc.). But the last pair he had only lasted 10 months. Now his current pair isn't even 3 months old and literally falling apart! The black toe cap is ripping/ peeling off on both boots, both the inside and outside of the boot. They look like they're 10 years old! They must have changed the material they are using for the toe reinforcement. So disappointing. He's afraid to order another pair and is looking at other brands. Ariat has always been top quality, but clearly not anymore as I see other commenters having the same issues. I've attached pictures along with a picture of the tread that shows these are new boots...there's not even any wear on the soles!

Wow, should have read the reviews. Owned three pair of these boots over the last few years. First pair lasted over a year. I was satisfied with that, I'm not the easiest on shoes. The next pair didn't last a year and the last pair not even three months. Seems something is changing with the manufacturing and material quality of these shoes.

Really ienjoy the comfort and fit of these boots. My old Boots wore out from hunting and work I’m looking forward to seeing how these boots wear over time

This is the third pair of Ariat boots. They are light weight and durable. The size is true. I even bought a pair for a fellow coworker. I highly recommend them to anyone who works in the elements or on their feet all day.

I used to buy Ariat Terrain boots all the time, but haven’t for 2-3 years. I decided to try them again and am not disappointed. I love the fit, the looks and the quality workmanship. They feel broken in right out of the box.

I have worn this style boot for several years. Hard to find 9EE boots with a good fit, arch support, ankle support and a sole that is smooth enough you don't drag mud and debris into an office. All day comfort and it looks good in a semi casual environment.

High quality, great fit, long term comfort, a full day on one's feet is not an issue at all.

I was in the market for a comfortable short boot that I could wear both casual and work tasks. I tried similar styled boots and nothing came close to these. I found them at the local Tractor Supply, tried them on and that was it. I took them to the register and the girl behind the counter was wearing the woman’s version of the same boot, she couldn’t speak higher about them. Great boot!

This is my second pair, just love these boots, they are as comfortable as sneakers with all the support and protection needed of a work boot.

Awesome shoes! Very durable and stand up to all types of weather. No break in period...put them on and they fit your size and wear them all day!

Have had multiple pairs waterproof and standard types. They fit great, wonderful to ride with and are comfortable shoes. However they always come apart around the toe. Some pairs only lasting a few months. I actually ride endurance horses and the shoes work wonderfully for riding long distances. But they just don't hold up around the black material used for the toe. The rest of the boot will still be in great shape but the toes will be complely gone in just a few months. Seems that the company could do something to improve their product so that the toes would last as long as the rest of the boot.

First pair stitching on shoe started to unravel after the the first week. So I had to reorder the second pair and pay for them and return the first pair and wait for a refund. First pair I got 10% off. Replacement pair I had to pay full price. Not what I consider a great return policy.

I ordered these for my grandson that works with cattle on our farm. He has to wear shoe inserts & these shoes fill great on his feet. My husband has been wearing these daily for several years to work. I highly recommend these!

I bought these a couple of months ago at tractor supply. These are the first Ariat boots I have tried. Needless to say it was a disappointing experience. I dont remember ever having a pair of boots wear out like this so soon. I should have read the reviews before I purchased them.

My husband needed a shoe with a wider toe box and these fit the bill perfectly! I've ordered these twice for him.

Bought these shoes at Tractor supply about 8 months ago thinking they were going to last me a couple years since I only work part time. One shoe has ripped from the sole in the toe area. Of course I cannot return them.

Best boot I ever wore, I have neuropathy in my legs and feet very bad. These boots offer great ankle support and arch support. This is my second pair. I will be ordering another in the very near future

Purchased these boots at Tractor Supply. They began falling apart at the toe box in two months. Ariat support directed me back to the store for help. The store had a 30 day return policy, so no help.

I love Ariat products and I've owned many pairs of boots, hats, jeans, ect by them. Their quality is unbeatable and these shoes are no different. From 12 hour shifts at work to building a deck at my home they are as dependable as they are rugged.

I bought these for my husband for his birthday. He wears them everyday for work and loves them. Great quality and service. I will order agin in the future.

Super comfortable and I wore my first pair every day until they started to give up, I've had them a couple years. Pleased that when I ordered the new pair, they fit just the same.
I normally wear an 8, but I tried these at 7.5 and they worked out really well, so I got that size again.

I am on my second pair of these shoes. I would buy $60 hiking shoes twice a year and they would be totally worn out. I had my first pair of these and they lasted 2 full years and the soles are still not wore out, nor is the leather. The only thing that has worn is the plastic nose of the shoe where it bends. I still wear the original pair for working.

More like a sneaker than a boot. Little break in needed at all, but do t expect these to protect your foot on rocky surfaces!

I liked the first pair so well and they were getting worn after 5 years so I bought a second pair and they feel even better.

Bought these boots less than two months ago and the seam around the toe has split apart on both of them. Regular, indoor use. No water exposure. Looking at reviews, this seems to be a known issue that has not been fixed.
Outside the return window, so money wasted.
I’ve owned three pair of Ariat western boots that have lasted years. These boots were not nearly the same quality.

So after 1 week, the boots seem pretty comfortable. 4 out of 5 there. Waterproof? Not so much. 0 out of 5. Durability TBD.

Love these boots. This is my second pair . My first pair lasted 2 years. I work in stock at a grocery store where I’m up and down and the time. I’ve never had a rip or wear in my toes. Plan to stick with these as long as they are sold! The o lily reason I’m replacing them is because they are just showing their age and want to keep presentable. My dad is keeping my old pair for yard work..

When I tried these on I thought they were the most comfortable boots I’ve ever tried on, a couple weeks in and they were still very comfortable but started seeing wear and tear very quickly. Less than 3 months later and the boots have completely fallen apart. Very disappointed with my first pair of Ariats
