Kiley is from Trinity, Texas and is a senior joining us for her first year on Team Cavender’s. She competes in barrels and pole bending, which is her favorite event. “Getting to ride and win on a horse that my papa and I trained is a surreal feeling. Even if it is a small jackpot or Nationals, every run I get to make on him is a great time,” says Kiley. From being gifted a Shetland pony from her papa, to finding her dream horse at her first rodeo, she took off from there and never turned back from the rodeo world. Kiley is very involved outside of the arena as she is a varsity cheerleader and involved in the Beta, FCCLA, FCA, and UIL. In her free time, riding horses or helping the community is what she enjoys doing.

Sage is a senior from Morse, Texas and is in her fourth year as a Team Cavender’s member. She competes in breakaway, goat tying, and barrels, which is her favorite event because her horse makes it so fun! Sage says her parents rodeoed, and she followed in their footsteps. She is involved in FFA and FCCLA outside of rodeo and loves to do graphic design in her free time.

Cooper comes from Keller, Texas and joins us for his third year on the team as a senior. He competes in saddle bronc which is his only event. It’s a family tradition, he says. Cooper loves the thrill of getting on a bucking horse and the adrenaline rush. He was taken to his first PBR at 4 years old and rode a sheep for the first time where he competed against his soon to be buddy John Crimber. This is where his love for rodeo started. Cooper says his dad’s family were all rodeo athletes growing up and he has carried on the family tradition of competing in saddle bronc. He stays busy outside of rodeo hanging out with his Team Cavender’s friends, John, Jase, and Ethan. He enjoys school activities with all his friends as they finish high school. Cooper is also the safety for his high school football team and a member of both the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.

Grace is from Church Point, Louisiana and a senior who has been on the team for three years. She competes in both breakaway and team roping, but says breakaway roping is her favorite. This is the event she has had the most success in and gets to compete on her favorite horse, Cheers. Both of Grace’s parents roped and competed in rodeo. While her dad trains horses, Grace and her five siblings help with the horse business. Her entire family has grown up riding and competing together. If she is not at the barn, practice pen, or rodeo, Grace is hanging with her friends at the river where they ride boats and have bonfires. Although horses are her passion and best friends, Grace’s faith is very important to her. She is a member of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church where she is very involved in the youth group.

John is from Decatur, Texas and is a senior who has been on the team for three years. He competes in bull riding, which is also his favorite event. John followed in his father’s footsteps of becoming a bull rider. When John is not traveling or on the back of a bull, he enjoys hanging out with his family and friends.

Jase is a senior from Decatur, Texas and has been part of Team Cavender’s for two years now as a saddle bronc rider. Jace says it is a classic rodeo event, and it’s a lot easier to haul a bronc saddle around rather than a horse and trailer. He says his family rodeoed before him, and he was born into the rodeo scene. When he’s not on the back of a bronc he enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing guitar.

Natalie joins us as a senior from Robertsdale, Alabama. This will be her first year on the team, and she competes in barrel racing. Natalie says when she was younger, she used to watch all the amazing barrel racers compete at the NFR, PRCA and big barrel races and would try to apply some of the riding and training methods to the horses she rode. Barrel racing is her favorite because of the rush of running super-fast on a horse around three barrels and making the fastest time. Natalie says her whole life revolves around rodeos, barrel racing, and horses. Outside of going to rodeos and competing, she enjoys working with young horses as well as designing bedazzle tack sets, going to the beach, and the occasional modeling gig.

Jolee is a senior from Lindale, Texas, and this is her third year on Team Cavender’s. Her events include barrels, poles, goat tying, breakaway roping, and team roping. Jolee says although she is better at barrels, breakaway is her favorite event by far. She loves the feeling she gets when she backs in the box, all her worries go away, and nothing in the world matters anymore. Jolee also enjoys how close her, and her dad have gotten since she began roping. Before he was just the barrel racer dad who did not really know what he was doing, but now that she has started roping, they have something in common and she loves it. Jolee spends most of her free time outside of rodeo, helping her youth group at church in the community and helping the less fortunate.

Ethan is a senior from Winnie, Texas and competes in bull riding. This is his second year as a Team Cavender’s member. Ethan’s bull riding career began after he got on his first sheep and said it’s his favorite event because he likes the pain. Ethan plays both football and baseball outside of rodeo, and in his free time he likes to catch gators.

Kyan is a junior from Baldwin City, KS. She competes in both barrel racing and pole bending, but barrel racing steals the win as her favorite because she has been doing it her entire life. This is Kyan’s third year on Team Cavender’s. She is a third-generation cowgirl as it has always been a part of her family. Kyan competes in competitive basketball outside of rodeo, as well as both basketball and softball for her school and is a part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Kyan is a junior from Clovis, New Mexico who competes in tie-down roping, which has been his favorite event since he began. This will be his second year on the team. Kyan is the first person in his family to compete in the sport of rodeo and started when he was nine years old. He loves this sport and has reached his goal of becoming a world champion tie down roper this past year. Outside of rodeo, Kyan enjoys shooting, golfing, snowboarding, and fishing.

Luke is from Madisonville, Texas and a junior who has been on the team since the beginning. He competes in calf roping and says it’s his favorite because it takes a lot of mental and physical practice. It’s a very challenging sport and he enjoys learning new things each time he competes. Luke said his dad was a cutter growing up, so the sport grew in the blood line. He can’t remember a time when he wasn’t on a horse. When he’s not competing, Luke spends his time working at the auction.

Daniel is a junior from Millington, Tennessee. This is Daniel’s first year on Team Cavender’s, and he will be competing in tie-down, team roping, and steer wrestling. Calf roping is his favorite event because it challenges him to work harder and become a better horseman. He has grown up around horses and agriculture his entire life. His mom was a barrel racer, and his dad was a team roper who now runs a cattle operation. Although he went to local youth rodeos growing up, Daniel says he did not really get serious about rodeo until junior high. Outside of rodeo, you can find Daniel wakeboarding, hunting, fishing, and training horses. He is also very active in football and a member of Beta Club and National Honor Society.

Tana comes from Ponder, Texas and is a sophomore in her third year on Team Cavender’s. Her events are barrel racing and pole bending. Tana enjoys barrels the most because she has an amazing mare who goes out there and does her job every time no matter the circumstances. She fell in love with the sport after her parents bought her a pony for her first birthday. She is involved in her FFA chapter as well as the basketball and track teams. When Tana isn’t in the saddle, you can find her on the edge of a pond or lake, bass fishing, hunting, or even just fixing stuff on the ranch.

Harley says that her family was involved in rodeo and the sport came naturally. When Harley is not on the road competing, she enjoys hog hunting.

Jack is a sophomore from Weatherford, Texas. This is his second year on the team, and he competes in both bull riding and team roping with bull riding being his favorite event. Jack has competed in both bull riding and cutting horse competitions since he was 5 years old. He enjoys golfing, fishing, and hunting in his free time.

Colee comes from Tell, Texas and is a sophomore competing in goat tying, breakaway roping, and reined cow horse. This will be Colee’s first year on Team Cavender’s. Goat tying is her favorite event. “The adrenaline rush as you run ninety to nothing down the arena and try to tie a little goat with four legs staked on the end of a rope is something I crave to do,” said Colee. She started out showing horses when one day on the way home from a show, she stopped by a local junior rodeo, and entered in all of the events. This is where Colee won her first “rodeo” buckle and since then has given 110% to the rodeo world. She stays busy outside of rodeo competing on the varsity golf team, being involved in her youth group, and showing swine for her local 4-H club.

Alanna is a sophomore from Batesville, Arkansas and is a first-year team member. Barrel racing is the event that she is most passionate about. She loves the challenge to always keep improving as well as the partnership and bond with her horse. The barrel racing community adds to the love she has for this sport. Being a first-generation rodeo family, it all started with a stick horse and the love of horses in her blood since birth. Outside of the arena Alanna is involved in the FBLA and FCA. She enjoys swimming, baking, riding ATVs through trails, and being a spokesmodel for the Kansas City Outlaws.

Jacee comes from Haskell, Oklahoma and is a sophomore who competes in breakaway roping. This will be Jacee’s first year on the team. Breakaway roping brings out competitiveness in her and gives her an adrenaline rush because it is so fast paced. Jacee says rodeo is the only lifestyle she’s ever known. Both of her grandparents were involved in rodeo, one of which went on to be a college rodeo coach, followed by both of her parents who rodeoed throughout college. She started riding at the age of three and continued into junior high where she found her true passion for breakaway. Jacee is also very involved in her school and academics. She plays volleyball, basketball, is on student council, national honors society, school safety committee, academic team, high school rodeo student body president, yearbook, and leadership.

Rylie comes from Hillsboro, Texas as a sophomore joining us for her first year. She competes in both breakaway and poles. Breakaway comes out on top as her favorite event to compete in because she says you must be dedicated and put in the hard work to succeed. Rylie plays select softball when she is not rodeoing as well as volleyball, basketball, track and field, cross country, and is a member of National Honor Society.

Kash is from Rio Vista, Texas. He is a junior and a first year Team Cavender’s member competing in bareback. “I love riding bareback horses because they fuel a fire not many people have, and it’s an adrenaline so great and exciting that can only be done by a handful of people,” said Kash. He started out riding sheep while his dad rode bucking horses and transitioned into bucking ponies where he has worked his way through the ranks to where he is now. Kash plays football, runs track, plays golf, and goes fishing in his spare time.

Pinkerton is from Ravenna, Texas and is a freshman who competes in reined cow horse, barrel racing, pole bending, and breakaway roping. This is her second year on Team Cavender’s and says that reined cow horse is her favorite event because it is a lot of fun. Pinkerton enjoys spending her free time riding and training horses.

Kameron comes from Kaufman, Texas and is a freshman competing in team roping. This is his first year on the team. Kameron loves the sport of team roping because it’s challenging. He was introduced to rodeo by his parents, and when Kameron is not swinging a rope, he loves to cast a line out fishing somewhere.

Trevor is a freshman from Weimar, Texas, and this is his first year on Team Cavender’s. He is a calf roper and a team roper. Team roping is Trevor’s favorite event to compete in because it has always just clicked for him. It’s where he started out and where his heart belongs, he says. Trevor was guided into the rodeo world by his mother and grandfather who are both very passionate about the sport. He stays busy outside of rodeo with his involvement in football, baseball, golf, and tennis. Hunting, fishing, and golf are some of the hobbies Trevor enjoys doing outside of rodeo.

Bentli is a freshman from Ada, Oklahoma, and this will be her first year on Team Cavender’s. She competes in barrel racing, pole bending, and breakaway roping. Pole bending is her favorite because of her horse, Rodeo. “He just makes it so easy and fun,” says Bentli. “He also will take a bow like a trick horse and pop his lip for treats.” Because of her entire family rodeoing, Bentli was on a pony from the moment she could walk. She says rodeo is a great sport because you can go as a family to all the rodeos. Bentli stays busy outside of rodeo with her involvement in cheer, tennis, track, yearbook, free fall tumbling, and playing the fiddle. She is also on the honor roll and a member of FCA.
