  • What is a Cavender's Gift Card?

    Cavender's Gift Cards are the perfect way to send a gift of western wear to your friends and family. Simply provide us with the dollar amount of the Gift Card (from $10 to $500) and we'll send a Gift Card that can be used immediately along with your personal message. Gift card amounts are in U.S. dollars.

    There are two types of Cavender's Gift Cards:

    • Classic Gift Card - This plastic wallet size Gift Card will be shipped to the recipient via UPS ground at no charge. Please allow 4-5 days for UPS Ground delivery (add an extra day or two during the holidays). UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS Next Day Air are available for an additional charge. This Gift Card may be sent to Alaska or Hawaii using standard shipping. We regret that this item cannot be shipped to APO, FPO, or PO Boxes. The Classic Gift Card may be redeemed online at or at any Cavender's store location.
    • E-Gift Card - The E-Gift Card is delivered electronically via email to your recipient. It offers the advantage of fast delivery for last minute gift giving. E-Gift Cards are normally delivered within 24 hours. E-Gift Cards may be redeemed online at or at any Cavender's store location.
  • How do I redeem the Cavender's Gift Card?

    If you have received a Classic Gift Card, you may redeem the card at any Cavender's Boot City store or online at At the store, simply present your card to the cashier at checkout. For online orders, you'll need your 19-digit Gift Card number and 4-digit PIN code. The Gift card number and PIN are printed on the back of the Classic Gift Card. If you purchased the card at a store, there will be a scratch off area to the right of the Gift Card number which contains the PIN code. For online orders, simply select the Gift Card payment option when you check out and enter the Gift Card number and PIN code in the appropriate fields when you check out.

    If you received an E-Gift Card, you will also have a Gift Card number and PIN code contained in the email you received. E-Gift Cards may be redeemed online at or at any Cavender's store location.

  • Can I redeem a Cavenders Gift Card that I received from a store?

    Yes, you may redeem both the Cavender's Classic Gift Card and E-Gift Card in-store and online.

  • How can I check the balance on my Gift Card?

    You can check your balance online any time at Just look for the Check Gift Card Balance link on our Gift Card page.

  • Do Cavender's Gift Cards ever expire?

    No. As long as there is value remaining on the Gift Card, it will not expire. You can spend it anytime. We do not charge a fee for holding on to a card beyond a specified time.

  • Can I add to the balance remaining on my Gift Card?

    Not at this time.

  • How do I return merchandise purchased with a Gift Card?

    The same way you return all other merchandise. If you request a refund on an item purchased, we will issue an E-Gift Card for the amount of the refund due on completion of the return.

  • Can I replace a lost or stolen Gift Card?

    Cavender's is not responsible for unauthorized use of Gift Cards. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced without required proof of purchase. Please call 1-800-943-2712 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) to report your missing card.

    E-Gift Cards can be resent to the recipient in most circumstances. Contact the fulfillment center for more information at 1-866-826-4865 (Mon-Tue 8am-7pm | Wed-Fri 8am-6pm | Sat 8am-12pm Central Time).

  • Can more than one method of payment be applied toward a purchase?

    Yes. Any combination of Cavender's Gift Cards and/or credit card may be applied toward your purchase.

  • How can I be sure that the E-Gift Card I sent has been received?

    To be certain an E-Gift Card has been received, please check with the recipient. Most E-Gift Cards are delivered successfully within 24 hours of your order. However, as with all e-mail, a number of factors could prevent a card from being delivered to a recipient's in-box. A full in-box, an invalid e-mail address or a spam filter can prevent an E-Gift Card from reaching its intended recipient. If we are notified that an E-Gift Card has not been delivered, we can resend the card in most cases.     1. Gift Cards can be issued for any amount between minimum of $10.00 and a maximum of $500 (U.S. Dollars).
    2. The Classic Gift Card is sent in a packet that includes the name of the sender, the name of the recipient, the amount of the card, and an optional personal message.
    3. There is no charge for shipping the Gift Card packet by UPS ground, which normally takes 4-5 business days (please allow an extra day or two during the holiday season).
    4. The Classic Gift Card and the E-Gift Card cannot be returned and are not refundable. The Classic Gift Card and the E-Gift Card cannot be redeemed for cash.
