Awesome Product
I own numerous Yeti products, but this is my first hard cooler. I purchased this model in the blue color at the Chicago Yeti store. It was extremely helpful to be able to compare different cooler sizes in person, and the sales crew there was very knowledgeable. I like this size as it fits perfectly in multiple configurations behind the 3rd row in my SUV and allows for additional luggage. It is also the maximum weight (when filled that I’m comfortable routinely lifting - though it is heavy when it’s full. The handle and wheels are a great addition to this cooler! The wheels roll smoothly. The lid and latches are standard Yeti – great build and quality.

For a fun experiment, I purchased 2 bags of “sacrificial ice” and put them in the cooler I week prior to a trip. The cooler was in my kitchen with a constant 72deg external temperature. I started the stopwatch on my wrist to see what would happen. Nothing terribly scientific, but each day I checked the ice a few times. 1-week in, I still had about 1/3 of my ice remaining. So, I emptied the water, put some Yeti-Ice in the bottom, kept the remaining 1/3 of my “sacrificial ice” instead of putting in new ice, and packed the cooler with food and beverages for my weekend trip. None of the items I put in the cooler for my trip were pre-chilled. The cooler got good use on the trip - the kids could easily open the cooler during our drive and used it like a car refrigerator during the 3-day weekend trip.

When I got home, I emptied the remaining food and beverage cans, but there was still ice remaining. I decided to wait to see how long it would last. It turns out, 1 day shy of 2 weeks! Not only was there ice during this entire time, but the internal temperature of the cooler remained at or below safe refrigerator temperatures. This is far more of a buffer of temperature stability and food safety than I had anticipated and is amazing with respect to ice preservation. While this was not a scientific experiment, it was a practical one for me. Like some, I had read about the legendary Yeti ice retention with these products. But this cooler far exceeded my expectations!

Glad I got a Yeti!
This was a buy i wasn't sure about making, but I'm glad I did. I took this camping (true camping, not glamping) and it kept ice for 3 days. I will say that taking the recommendation to sacrifice a bag of ice ahead of putting my items in made it a big success. The cooler moves around freely (thanks to the wheels) and is stout enough to sit and stand on (and i'm not a small person). I only rated this as 4 stars as its a really nice cooler, but its heavy... even empty. But with a 2 person lift assist it makes it manageable. I also bought a cooler wrap from USATuff and made it look even more unique!

Beautiful and functional
This cooler is amazing. So well made, spacious, and easy to maneuver due to the wheels. The color is amazing, too. We brought it filled with beer to a party recently and it was a huge hit. Maybe I should be a Yeti rep ;)

Great cooler, a bit heavy
Perfect. Kept fully frozen food cold and still half frozen 24 hours after initial loading. At 35 lbs empty it’s certainly heavy once full, thank goodness for wheels!!

Best Cooler Ever
I have spent a couple of years trying to use other coolers. Finally had some special meats to drive across country, so took the plunge. Yeti kept it in cool and only required adding ice each night of a 4 day trip. Thanks Yeti!

Great cooler just needs a basket
I LOVE the cooler and the wheels are a game changer for sure! My only wish is that there was a dry goods basket made for it. That would make it completely perfect!!
