Irregular sizing
I bought this jeans to replace a year and half old pair that was showing wear. The old pair fit awesome and I would given the year old pair the highest marks possible!!! They were true to the other M5 jeans I have purchased. This pair has two inches more material in each thigh/quad and calf area compared to the exact pant I purchased originally a year ago. I thought it would be okay so I kept them but I received several comments about this new pair was falling off me. So sad something as simple as quality control and simple measuring can ruin your high opinion of a company!

Love these jeans!!!
I was a Wrangler jean wearer faithfully for over 20 years. A friend changed to these and recommended them to me. After trying a couple of pairs, I am now a faithful Ariat Rebar jean man! Once I got my first pair, had them starched, they have held the crease and the shape better than any other jean I have ever worn. I am sold and I highly recommend them for comfort, style, fit and function. They are all aces!

Best built, hands down!
I first got these a couple years ago. They quickly became my go to everyday pair. I wear them for everything from riding the motorcycle, mowing the grass, to changing oil. The fit is spot on and the knife pocket is very handy. I was sad when I couldn’t find them in store around me locally, but at-least they were online still. I own 4 pairs now and wear nothing else.

Love M5 Design; Hate the Versions
I bought my first pair of M5's (Style: 10016223 back in late 2018 from a local ariat retailer and absolutely loved them (made in Mexico). In 2019, I bought two more pairs (these were made in Nicaragua) directly from Ariat and still loved them. As of this review, I bought 10 more from Amazon (sold by Amazon, not a 3rd party). Holy cow these were AWFUL, they all had the same style number, but were different versions: 1348, 1247,1295, and the Nicaragua's have no version number (these fit like the 1247). I have no issue with the new 1247 and the Nicaragua made pairs, but good gosh the 1348 and 1295 need to be called relaxed fit.

This amount of variation in size is inexcusable! The pinned on tags by the waist for the 1247 were not even the same, some say "low rise straight leg" and others say "slim fit straight leg." Again.. they all have the same style number and same size 36x30.

So if you're buying this product, buy a couple pairs and find the ones you like. What makes the M5's such a great pair of jeans is that they are slim in hips, but don't strangle the important male parts and you can get a straight leg. I'm not into looking like a NY hipster. It's to bad more retailers do not stock the Blackstone wash because they look great with an oxford shirt and a blazer!

Long lasting, comfortable, well fitting
I'd been a Levi's guy for 25 years. Their continually degrading quality lead me to look elsewhere. I'm glad I did. These Rebar M5 jeans are perfect for work. The jeans hold up well, easily outlasting others 3:1. The other jeans in the Rebar series are great too. The sub-pocket easily carries a knife. I thought it was a gimmick at first, but it works well.

Should Have Read the Reviews First
All the reviews 3 and below are true. These are the widest "slim cut" jeans I have ever seen. I get that they are supposed to be a little roomier for comfort when working, but these are closer to relaxed-baggy fit than slim. Ariat has been letting me down as of late with all the changes and wide variance in cut, fit, and feel within their series.

Too big
I bought theses because I have some other M5 slim straight Ariat Jeans that I really like. Got these in the mail and they don’t fit at all like the other ones I have they were too big even though they were the same measurements. Disappointed in that. Tried to order a smaller size and out of stock. Maybe someday I’ll get a pair that fits and I’ll write a good review.

SLIM was the operative word.
I purchased these jeans as I wanted to try the brand. As stated above I purchased a slim pare of M5 and Slim they are NOT. These have the widest legs I've ever owned.. Their so wide I can't imagine what reg. size is like. Unfortunately I won't find out as this is the last pair I'll ever buy again. I'll see if I can donate these to a charity.

Poor construction!
I purchased a pair of these from my local farm and ranch store, after I took the tags off and washed them i noticed that the outside seem running down the leg was way off. When you put them on, the bottom of the outside seam sets dead center on the front of your foot. Very disappointed because they fit great in the seat.

Fitting Fail
I bought 2 pair of these after being a loyal Levi's customer for over 40 years. I tried them on in the store and found them to be very comfortable, and the fit seemed pretty good as well. It didn't take long for me to realize that these were the jeans for me. They broke in so perfectly, and were the most comfortable jeans I have ever owned. So I bought 3 more pair of exactly the same kind as the first two. Unfortunately, I trusted that the new ones would be consistent with their predecessors, so I didn't try them on before buying them. All three pair fit so poorly that I thought I had accidentally grabbed the wrong styles. I verified all of the specifications and they all matched my original jeans. So either the style had been changed or manufacturing was inconsistent. I live too far away from a retailer to simply stop by and return them. So I hoped that perhaps they would wear in and become better fitting. they haven't. I made a $180 mistake by not trying them on first. So it's my fault. But There shouldn't be that much of a difference between these jeans and the first ones I purchased just 2 years before. Would I recommend this product? Absolutely. But I wouldn't order them online. Try before you buy!
