Vintage vs Drapper Fat Baby Ariats
Just got my new Drappers -10 years after Zi fell in love with the original Fat Baby Boots! I am passing those on to my 22 year old for riding and barn work since the sole is still rugged with lugs 20 years later! See for yourself!

My favorite boots
I got them as a gift from Christmas. When they arrived they already had a big scuff across them and I was upset but I have worn them outside doing chores and every where and love them. They are so comfortable and hold up well.

I love the look of the boot and they are comfortable, however I noticed the brown around the bottom of the boot is subject to scraping off the brown leather. I have scrape marks on both (I believe it is when I get in or out of my car) but I don't know how to fix it. Scratch marks going everywhere, looks like they need painted. It has been too long to return them but I haven't worn them that often. I have never had a pair of boots do this before. If there is a way to fix them I wish I could find out how, google searches not showing much. That is why I gave them 4 stars vs. 5.

Plenty of calf room!
This is my third pair of Ariats. The last two were the All Terrains. I really liked the style and fit, but the laces were a pain. I'm 52 now, and 40 years ago my first pair of western boots were a pair of Acme's. I loved them and miss them. I have been back and forth about going back to the All Terrains or just go for the Fatties. I made a great choice! 40 years later, I became a BMW (Big Maine Woman and was afraid that my calves wouldn't fit comfortably in the boots. I have plenty of room and can even tuck my pants in! Highly recommend these. I love the turquoise/teal contrast. I am an Ovarian cancer survivor and always like to sport a little color for awareness. Love the boots and if you are a BMW, you will too!

Good For Style; Not For Work
I bought these about 9 months ago and the tred is almost completely worn off. I'm hard on boots, but I expected more from them since I've been purchasing from Ariat for years. They are nice on the eyes but I wouldn't reccommend them for barn work.

NOT FOR WORK
The boots are comfortable but not a boot to wear everyday for work. Had these for about 6 months, and the tread on the bottom is almost completely worn. Called ariat directly and they told me to take them back to boot barn where I purchased them. Called Boot barn and they told me its been too long and they cannot do anything about it. Really disappointed in these boots. They are more for looks that for actually wearing them everyday to work. Do not think I will be purchasing Ariats again.

Very comfortable!
I just bought these a few days ago and they're SOOOOOOOOOOOO comfortable. I barely had to break them in, and I've already walked around in them for hours at a time. They're very true-to-size.
